Diplomatic / Official passport holders of the following countries may enter Thailand without a visa

Remarks:
- Diplomatic or Official passport holder of the countries that DOES NOT appear on the list above MUST apply for an appropriate visa before entering Thailand.
- UN Laissez-Passer holder MUST apply for an appropriate visa before entering Thailand.

 

 

(a) Diplomatic Visa Category ‘D’ 

This type of visa is issued to diplomatic passport and UN Laissez-Passer (Red Cover) holders who are assigned to assume duties for a long period of time at a foreign diplomatic mission or consulate or international organization in Thailand.
Required documents:

1. Passport with validity not less than 6 months

2. Completed visa application form

3. 2 recent passport-sized photographs taken within the past 6 months

4. Copy of legitimation card

5. Verbal Note of applicant’s organization stating the objective of the visit and period of stay

6. Confirmed air ticket

7. In case that applicant’s passport shall be sent back by post, an envelope with applicant’s address and CHF 6.30 of stamps are required. The Royal Thai Embassy, however, does not accept any responsibility for any kind of loss or damage from post service.

Remarks:
- The Embassy reserves the right to request additional documents as deemed necessary and also reserve the right to reject any application without having to provide reason.
- Upon arrival, travellers with this type of visa will be permitted to stay in Thailand for a period not exceeding 90 days per entry.

(b) Diplomatic / Official Visa Category ‘F’

This type of visa is issued to diplomatic passport, official passport and UN Laissez-Passer (Blue Cover) holders who are wish to assume duties for a short period of time at a foreign diplomatic mission or consulate or international organization in Thailand.
Required documents:

1. Passport with validity not less than 6 months

2. Completed visa application form

3. 2 recent passport-sized photographs taken within the past 6 months

4. Copy of legitimation card

5. Verbal Note of applicant’s organization stating the objective of the visit and period of stay

6. Confirmed air ticket

(c) Courtesy Visa

This type of visa is issued to diplomatic passport, official passport and UN Laissez-Passer (Blue Cover) holders who wish to travel to Thailand for their personal purpose.
Required documents:

1. Passport with validity not less than 6 months

2. Completed visa application form

3. 2 recent passport-sized photographs taken within the past 6 months

4. Copy of legitimation card

5. Verbal Note of applicant’s organization stating the objective of the visit and period of stay

6. Confirmed air ticket

7. Hotel reservation

8. In case that applicant’s passport shall be sent back by post, an envelope with applicant’s address and CHF 7 of stamps are required. The Royal Thai Embassy, however, does not accept any responsibility for any kind of loss or damage from post service.
