The Conferment Ceremony of the Royal Decoration 2025
On 18 August 2025, H.E. Ms. Pannabha Chandraramya, Ambassador of Thailand to Switzerland, presided over the conferment ceremony of the Royal Decoration of the Commander (Third Class) of the Most Noble Order of the Crown of Thailand bestowed upon Mr. Markus Albert Frey. The ceremony was held at the Royal Thai Embassy in Bern, with the attendance of the Embassy’s officials, the Honorary Consul-General of Thailand in Basel, as well as their families.
Mr. Markus Frey was appointed as Honorary Consul of Thailand in Zurich on 9 September 2006 and later as Honorary Consul-General on 8 June 2012. For over 18 years, he has devoted himself with commitment and dedication to promoting Thai-Swiss relations, while also providing assistance and support to the Thai community in Zurich and other cantons under his consular jurisdiction.
Mr. Markus Frey expressed his deep gratitude for the gracious bestowal of this distinguished Royal Decoration and reaffirmed his readiness to continue carrying out his duties to the best of his ability.
